The North Carolina Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI), along with the U.S. Geological Survey 104(b) program, is requesting faculty pre-proposals and student full proposals for 2021-2022 water resources research and information-transfer projects. Faculty pre-proposals are due Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at 5 p.m. Student full proposals are due Monday, July 13, 2020.

NC Attorney General Josh Stein is pleased to announce the 2020 Environmental Enhancement Grant (EEG) Request for Proposals (RFP).

The Albemarle-Pamlico watershed has a land area of 28,000 square miles that stretches from central North Carolina and Virginia eastward to the coast. With such a large region, it’s sometimes easy to forget that regardless of whether you live in sight of the sounds or if the coast is hours away, the actions you take can have a positive impact on the health of the estuary.

DWR is seeking proposals for award of federal fiscal year 2020 319(h) grant funds to implement watershed restoration plans that will help restore waters impaired by nonpoint sources of pollution.  For FY 2020, NC expects to receive $1.3 Million from the USEPA for competitive funding of watershed restoration projects under Section 319(h) of the Clean Water Act.
