I have been involved in consulting and contract research in geomorphology, pedology, hydrology, and ecology in the context of water resource and coastal resource management, ecosystem restoration, and forest management for the U.S. Forest Service, Texas Water Development Board, U.S. and Czech Science Foundations, European Union, and other U.S. federal and state agencies and private organizations. I continue to be involved in research, consulting, and writing as a private contractor.
