Dr. Wilson Laney retired in March 2019 after serving nearly 38 years with the US Fish and Wildlife Service. He serves presently as regional Habitat/Ecosystem Scientific Liaison for the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council, where he also serves on the Science and Statistical Committee; represents the NC Coastal Federation on the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's Habitat Committee; and is adjunct faculty at North Carolina State University.
