John Nicholson is Chief Deputy Secretary for the NC Department of Environmental Quality, where he is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the staff in addition to supporting the planning, resourcing, implementation and execution of the department’s mission and core functional areas. He provides direct leadership support to the Division of Marine Fisheries, the Division of Environmental Assistance and Customer Service, the State Energy Office and special projects as assigned.
