Grant Opportunities APNEP Grants The Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Program routinely offers grants which may be of interest to agricultural communities, coastal nonprofits, educators, engineers, local governments, planners and other watershed partners. In the recent past, APNEP has funded several outdoor classroom projects that serve the dual purposes of environmental education and water quality restoration. APNEP has also funded implementation projects that benefit stormwater runoff, coastal and watershed planning efforts, and best management practice implementation. Evaluation Criteria for Partner Organization Grant Proposals APNEP has developed a set of criteria that will be used as needed to evaluate the strength and applicability of external project proposals when a partner organization approaches APNEP to ask for funding, logistical, staff, or similar assistance as a part of their grant proposal. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions View the Evaluation Criteria Engagement and Stewardship Project Funding APNEP provides the opportunity for organizations and individuals implementing the Engagement and Stewardship Team's CCMP Actions within the Albemarle-Pamlico region to apply for mini-grants (< $2500) on an ongoing basis. Funding for these proposals may not always be available, but APNEP can always work with organizations to find nonmonetary support such as resources, promotion, and assistance finding other funding sources. A scope of work must be submitted by the applying organization in order to be considered for funding (see link below for details). Please contact Kelsey Ellis at email@example.com if you have any questions about this process. As of 2020, APNEP is no longer accepting project proposals on an ongoing basis. Stay tuned for a more formal and extensive RFP that will be published in fall/winter 2020!
