Riley is a recent graduate from the UNCW Master of Coastal and Ocean Policy program. She joined the team through a year-long STEM Policy fellowship conducted by North Carolina Sea Grant. She is conducting a policy and regulatory review of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) in the Albemarle-Pamlico region to identify any policy issues and provide recommendations to improve SAV protections moving forward. Riley is passionate about the intersection of science and policy to improve environmental protections, especially our coastal resources.
