WRRI 2019 Workshop Planning for Resilience in Coastal North Carolina and Beyond
APNEP is pleased to help sponsor WRRI and host one of four free workshops happening during the 2019 Annual Conference. Conference attendees and the public are all welcome, regardless of registration.
Wondering how the water resources community can help with development of the Climate Risk Assessment & Resiliency plan under Governor Cooper's Executive Order 80? Join the discussion at our workshop, “Planning for Resilience in Coastal North Carolina and Beyond” at #WRRI 2019 March 22. Hear from professionals working with local governments and communities, share lessons learned, and help brainstorm ideas about how we can all work together to build a resilient Albemarle-Pamlico region.
The workshop is designed as a participatory session with an introduction/overview of current regional initiatives from panelists followed by a question & answer and discussion period. Panelists include:
- Tancred Miller, NC Division of Coastal Management
- Jessica Whitehead, NC Sea Grant
- Michael Flynn, North Carolina Coastal Federation
- Michelle Covi, Virginia Sea Grant
