Career Experiences: I began my career in coastal science in 2019 working with a team at North Carolina State University to operate and maintain flux towers in order to gain insight into gas fluxes caused by inundation and their effects on the local ecology. After completing graduate school at NCSU, I went on to work with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2021 where my main focus was spatial occurrence of PFAS contamination nationwide. In 2022, I started my career with the U.S. Geological Survey where my research broadly focuses on monitoring and assessment of the health of surface water resources in the southeast region, especially as it pertains to contaminant occurrence and distribution.
