Kelsey Ellis Communications and Outreach Specialist

Kelsey Ellis joined APNEP in 2017, bringing a background in both scientific research and education. As APNEP’s Communications & Outreach Specialist, Kelsey works to manage APNEP’s communications and outreach efforts, including social media, website, blog, print articles, and outreach events. Kelsey also assists with APNEP’s Action Teams and with field work as needed. Prior to joining APNEP, Kelsey has worked as a Science Communication Intern for the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography, a Marine Biology Instructor for the Duke Talent Identification Program, and an Environmental Educator at the Triangle Land Conservancy through Americorps. Kelsey earned a B.S in Environmental Science with Highest Honors (2013) and an M.S in Marine Science (2015) from UNC-Chapel Hill.
