Steve Hummel

Steve Hummel is an aquatic ecologist with 10 years of experience working for state agencies, environmental consulting firms, and research universities. Steve has a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from Wright State University, and an M.S. in Conservation Biology from Central Michigan University. His experience encompasses ecotoxicology, fisheries biology, and non-point water quality. Steve has worked on projects in Ohio, Michigan, California, Washington, and Virginia watersheds. He now works as the Non-Point Pollution Coordinator for Virginia DEQ in the Tidewater office. Steve is an environmental advocate who enjoys sharing knowledge through community-based conservation and outreach efforts.
